The sea here is enchanting: the seabed, made up of rounded pebbles and sand, creates shades of turquoise that blend with the green of the surrounding Mediterranean scrub.
Just a short walk away lies Cala dello Sbarcatello, a place with an evocative name that speaks to its historical significance. It was, in fact,the only landing point available between the port of Porto Ercole and Punta Avoltore, a role that made it the site of numerous military operations and, unfortunately, also a favorite landing spot for the pirates who once infested these waters.
