From wide, golden-sand beaches to secluded, hidden coves,Argentario beaches for every taste: whether easily accessible or wild anduntouched, they are all surrounded bypristine natureand overlookcrystal-clear waters.
In the past, this cove was the scene of numerous Barbary pirate raids, and the majestic watchtower that overlooks the bay still stands as a testament to that history.
Among the coves and inlets of theArgentario, Cannelle Cove is fairly accessible, as it can be reached via a steep but short paved road.
To reach the cove, you must drive through the industrial area of Porto S. Stefano along Via del Campone until you reach the end of the municipal road in the Maddalena area. From there, proceed with caution, turning left onto a paved road that is narrow and partially unprotected by guardrails, for about 5 km until you reach the large gate of the Cannelle Consortium, where you can walk down to the beach.
