Cala - Piazzoni

Sand or Rocks?

From wide, golden-sand beaches to secluded, hidden coves,Argentario beaches for every taste: whether easily accessible or wild anduntouched, they are all surrounded bypristine natureand overlookcrystal-clear waters.

Cala Piazzoni is locatedin the wide cove between Punta di Torre Ciana and Punta dell’Avvoltore. Its name likely derives from the man-made terraces that slope down toward the sea and characterize the landscape.

This vast cove, flanked by high, sheer cliffs and lapped by crystal-clear waters that drop off sharply, is dotted with small beaches—such as Mortellone, Le Ficaie, and Scoglio della Riccitella—most of which are accessible only by sea.

Finally, at the top of a rocky peak, there is a hole in the cliff face: this is the so-called " Window," a hole carved out by the constant blowing of the winds over who knows how many centuries.
