From wide, golden-sand beaches to secluded, hidden coves,Argentario beaches for every taste: whether easily accessible or wild anduntouched, they are all surrounded bypristine natureand overlookcrystal-clear waters.
Sassi Verdi Beach gets its name from the distinctive green pebbles and rocks foundon the shore. To reach this cove, you must cross theArgentario and enjoy splendid views of the sea, framed by the islands of Giglio and Giannutri.
After passing through the industrial area of Porto S. Stefano on Via del Campone until the end of the municipal road in the Maddalena area, continue with caution, turning left onto a paved road that is narrow and partly unprotected by guardrails for about 3 km, until you reach a large gate with pedestrian access.
Walk down the private road for about 5 to 8 minutes, then you’ll come across a set of steps on the right, nestled among the Mediterranean scrub, leading to a few more minutes’ walk. The elevation gain of the hike is certainly just as impressive as the unique crystal-clear waters with emerald-green hues that you’ll find in this cove.
