Sand or Rocks?

From wide, golden-sand beaches to secluded, hidden coves, the Argentario offersbeaches for every taste: whether easily accessible or wild anduntouched, they are all surrounded bypristine natureand overlookcrystal-clear waters.

Just outsidethe town of Porto Ercole, across fromthe marina of the same name, which was one of the first ofits kind in Italy in the 1970s.

Cala Galera Beach, located below Poggio Pertuso, owes its name to the galleys—traditional ships that sailed the Tyrrhenian Sea between the 17th and 18th centuries—which used to take shelter in this wide cove.

Today, it featuresa wide, comfortable sandy beach that is very popular with locals, offering a splendid view of the Tombolo della Feniglia and Forte Filippo.
