The Don Pietro Fanciulli Study Center is hosting a new event as part of the “Meet the Author” series, dedicated to the presentation of the book *Amiche: Eleven Stories of Bonds and Sisterhood*, published by il Mulino.

The meeting will take place on Saturday, August 1, at 9:00 p.m., at the Centro Studi headquarters, located at Via Scarabelli 16 in Porto Santo Stefano.

The book brings together eleven short stories by leading female authors—including Dacia Maraini, Cristiana di San Marzano, Stefania Porrino, Mirella Serri, Elisabetta Dossi, Elena Di Caro, Francesca Sancin, Laura Sabbadini, and Chiara Valerio—offering an intense and multifaceted look at friendship among women, at bonds that endure over time, and at relationships that become spaces for growth, freedom, and dialogue.

Cristiana di San Marzano, Stefania Porrino, and Mirella Serri will engage with the audience, leading attendees in a discussion on the themes of sisterhood, memory, identity, and the value of women’s relationships in contemporary society.

The event will be moderated by journalist Giulia Giovani.

This initiative is part of the cultural program of the Don Pietro Fanciulli Study Center, which has always been committed to promoting reading and dialogue with authors, offering opportunities for in-depth exploration and reflection open to the public.
