Stories of Sailing Ships, Sailors, and Shipwrights — Introduction to the Special Feature
On Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 9:00 p.m., the Don Pietro Fanciulli Study Center in Porto Santo Stefano (Via Scarabelli 16) will host the presentation of the collection “Stories of Sailing Ships, Sailors, and Shipwrights,” edited by Alessandro Busonero.
The special feature explores the seafaring tradition of Porto Santo Stefano through the stories of sailing ships, sailors, and shipwrights who have shaped the town’s history, described in the text as “a sailors’ haven, with a slightly pirate-like appearance, but honest at heart like any self-respecting haven on the Tuscan coast.” The event will feature several distinguished guests.
When: Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 9:00 p.m.
Where: Don Pietro Fanciulli Study Center, Via Scarabelli 16, Porto Santo Stefano
