On July 18, 2025, at 9:30 p.m., in the picturesque setting of Piazza Santa Barbara in Porto Ercole, “Caravaggio tra le arti” will take place—an event that combines dance, music, and storytelling to honor one of the greatest masters of Italian painting: Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio.

The exhibition features six of Caravaggio’s most significant works, including: *The Madonna of the Stable Boys*, *David with the Head of Goliath*, *The Sick Bacchus*, *Saint John the Baptist*, *Saint Jerome*, and *Judith and Holofernes*.

The photos were provided free of charge by the Ministry of Culture.

Sponsored by the Municipality of Monte Argentario and organized by Toscana Iniziative Creative, Pro Loco Porto Ercole, and A.L.P.E., the evening offers the public an immersive experience in the intense atmosphere of Caravaggio’s works.

Francesca Barbi Marinetti, a renowned art critic, will guide the audience through a discovery of some of the painter’s most iconic works, offering a compelling and accessible narrative.

To enrich the narrative, a dance performance by the National Ballet Company, with choreography by Giacomo Molinari, will bring to life the emotions evoked by Caravaggio’s paintings. On stage, dancers Simona Del Nigro, Valentina Rancini, and Yuri Mastrangeli will interpret the profound sentiments of the works, accompanied by original music performed on the piano by M. Carlo Zannetti.

Claudio Rizzo serves as artistic director, having curated this fusion of visual arts, music, and movement for an evening that promises to be intense and captivating.
