Since 1965, a warm, family-style welcome in the heart of Porto Santo Stefano
The Hotel Alfiero opened in 1965 as a small trattoria, the realization of Alfiero Landini’s dream: after years spent working as a chef on ocean liners, Alfiero decided to return “to his hometown” and open a restaurant in the family’s building on Via Cuniberti.
Over time, the purchase of new apartments within the same building transformed the trattoria into a hotel-restaurant. First with his wife Rosa, then with their children, the tradition of hospitality has been passed down from generation to generation to the present day: it is Simona who carries on her father’s passion, nearly sixty years after the restaurant first opened.
An authentic atmosphere in the historic district
You’ll stay in an elegant late-19th-century building, just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and amenities, and just a flight of stairs away from the ferry terminal for the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago. The warm, informal atmosphere will make you feel right at home.
The perfect starting point
Whether you want to spend your days at the beach in the beautiful coves of Argentario, go shopping in the downtown streets, or set out to explore the medieval villages of the Maremma, the Hotel Alfiero is the perfect base.
Porto Ercole, Orbetello, Pitigliano, Sovana, Montemerano, and Saturnia—with its thermal baths—are all less than an hour’s drive away.
The marina and the ferry departures for Giglio and Giannutri are just a stone's throw from the hotel.
Choose Hotel Alfiero for a stay that combines the warmth of family-run hospitality with the convenience of being in the heart of Porto Santo Stefano—where every guest has been welcomed like family since 1965.
