We are in the Tuscan Maremma, at the Country Relais La Mortella in Porto Ercole—one of Italy’s most beautiful villages—the ideal spot for a romantic getaway or for those seeking to recharge in complete tranquility, surrounded by the natural beauty of this wild part of the Maremma.
The Country Relais La Mortella is surrounded by the beautiful 18-hole golf course of the Argentario Golf Club, which can be accessed directly from our garden via a small path through the greenery.
In this setting, where nature captivates and enchants, there are numerous trails to explore on foot, by mountain bike, or on horseback, following picturesque routes surrounded by crystal-clear seas, green hills, fields bursting with color, and beautiful beaches.
All around lies The Argentario coastline, with its harbors, coves, and rocky outcrops; the Orbetello lagoon, with the beaches of Giannella and Feniglia; and the Maremma Park, offering trails that blend nature, culture, and adventure.
The sea is ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling. The seabed is stunning, teeming with fish and vibrant colors, with caves to explore and shipwrecks to discover.
Breakfast is our pride and joy, featuring an abundance of organic products, cold cuts, and cheeses typical of the Maremma region, all sourced from nearby farms—truly locally sourced—just like our delicious homemade cakes, made according to Grandma Eufemia’s recipes.
We offer a variety of room types, all furnished in the “Tuscan country” style that characterizes the Relais. They are named after the plants that grow along the Maremma coast and perfume the garden surrounding the Relais, such as Mortella, the wild myrtle from which the name derives, and then… Rosemary, Bay Laurel, Sage, Strawberry Tree, Lavender, Wisteria, Broom, and Jasmine—nine rooms to welcome our guests from all over the world.

Relais la Mortella offers its guests a beautiful saltwater pool, surrounded by a colorful Mediterranean garden furnished with lounge chairs and sofas, as well as a covered parking lot on the premises, reserved exclusively for guests.
