Route Description

This route begins by following Trail No. 22 until you reach Pozzarello, a hub nestled in the greenery of theArgentario. From there, continue along the main road toward the new settlement, avoiding all the forks on the right.

The first part of the trail winds through a charming rural landscape, passing by neat vineyards and well-tended vegetable gardens, followed by a stretch nestled in lush Mediterranean scrub, which offers shade and coolness—ideal even in the hottest months.

After a pleasant, flat stretch, you reach the “Case dell’Olmo” estate, surrounded by a large olive grove, which is one of the most characteristic agricultural landscapes in the area.

Continue on until you reach a clearly marked fork in the road, where the trail leading to the Croce del Predicatore begins. Although the route ends here, you can take a brief break to enjoy the view: from the fork, you can see a small yellow chapel situated on the hill opposite, which adds a spiritual and picturesque touch to the landscape.

At this point, you find yourself in the geographical heart of Monte Argentario, in a peaceful, airy, and well-shaded setting. This route can also be hiked during the summer, provided you set out early in the morning, when the temperature is still pleasant and there is plenty of shade along almost the entire route.
