Up to the junction with the Panoramic Road, this route follows the same pathas Route 14. Once you reach the Panoramic Road, turn left toward Porto Ercole, along a stretch offering spectacular views.
As you walk along the Panoramica, you can admire a breathtaking panorama of rocky coves, sheer cliffs, and small pebble and sandy beaches, all framed by Mediterranean scrub and the intense scents of the sea.
Once you reach the area known as “Viste, ” you’ll enjoy a spectacular view of “L’Isolotto,” which rises just off the coast, and higher up, atop the cliff, stands the majestic Rocca Spagnola, which overlooks the harbor with its centuries-old presence.
Just before entering the new town of Porto Ercole, near a small square, you can take a detour to visit the old village, a historic gem featuring cobblestone alleys, stone arches, and flower-filled balconies. In this upper part of the town, you’ll also find the Governor’s Palace, a reminder of the promontory’s Spanish past.
A scenic variation of Route 15 that, once it reaches the Panoramic Road, continues toward Porto Ercole. The walk offers spectacular views of cliffs, coves, and the Isolotto, with the majestic Rocca Spagnola towering above. The walk ends in the heart of the town, where you can visit the historic village and the Governor’s Palace, symbols of the Spanish heritage.
