The “Forte Filippo” trail is located on Monte Argentario and is a trail approximately 570 meters long, classified as an intermediate-difficulty (blue) singletrack.
This trail is suitable for all-mountain (AM) and cross-country (XC) mountain bikes and is primarily a downhill route. The 60-meter descent offers a smooth yet challenging ride, with gradients reaching 37.9%.
The trail is characterized by tight turns, tree roots, and rocky sections that require strong technical riding skills. The compact terrain, combined with typical Mediterranean vegetation, offers spectacular views of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the surrounding islands, creating a visually rewarding and exhilarating experience for cyclists.
To tackle this trail, it’s best to use a mountain bike with high-quality suspension for greater stability and comfort on more technical sections. Additionally, it’s important to avoid riding the trail in the rain, as the ground can become slippery and difficult to handle.
