DESCRIPTION:An international short film competition featuring three evenings of outdoor screenings dedicated to high-quality works that address current and relevant social issues.\nLOCATION: Piazzale dei Rioni, Porto Santo Stefano – Monte Argentario\nDATES: July 24–26, 2026\nSHOWTIMES: 9:30 PM on July 24 and 25, 9:15 PM on July 26\nORGANIZER: Supported and sponsored by the Municipality of Monte Argentario Tuscany region.\The Pop Corn Festival del Corto is the international short film competition that brings Monte Argentario to life every year, conceived and organized by the Argentario Day APS Cultural Association under the artistic direction of Francesca Castriconi.\nA unique cinematic experience, featuring small masterpieces that stir the emotions and are perfect for warm summer evenings. The short films in competition, coming from all over the world, are divided into three categories: Italian Shorts, International Shorts, and Animated Shorts.\nAwards will be presented by a prestigious jury of experts, including the Raffaella Carrà Award, dedicated to the short film with the most original concept. A tribute to the famous artist who served on the jury in 2019 and who, even after her passing, continues to support the festival and Italian cinema.\nThe event, supported and sponsored by the Municipality of Monte Argentario the Region of Tuscany, takes place in the picturesque square overlooking the sea and is hosted by actor Andrea Dianetti.\nThe festival features three evenings of outdoor screenings dedicated to the best international short films—high-quality works that address current and significant social issues, many of which have won awards at the world’s most prestigious film festivals.\nThe program is rounded out by side events such as masterclasses, meetings with writers and directors, book presentations, and in-depth discussions, transforming the festival into a must-visit destination for lovers of independent cinema and for those seeking valuable cultural content in a unique setting that blends art, the sea, and the local landscape.\n
